Hi! We're Jinele and Jina—the mother-daughter team behind Mimi J's Photography.
What started as a love for capturing everyday moments quickly grew into a passion and eventually a business. Today, we're honored to photograph everything from newborn snuggles and growing families to seniors and the dramatic sports portraits that have become one of our favorite specialties.
We believe your session should be fun, relaxed, and completely personalized. While Jinele is behind the camera creating beautiful images, Jina helps make every detail of your experience seamless—from planning your session to delivering your final gallery.

I'm a coffee-loving creative with a passion for turning everyday moments into lasting memories. When I'm not behind the camera, you'll usually find me in Photoshop perfecting images, cooking for my family, coaching my oldest daughter's cheer team, or listening to Michael and Janet Jackson. As a mom of two girls, I know how quickly life changes, which is why I'm passionate about preserving the moments you'll want to remember forever.
Jina- the heart behind the scenes
I'm the calm, caring heart behind every session. I love helping families feel comfortable, whether I'm soothing a newborn, getting little ones to smile, or making sure every detail is just right. When I'm not at a session, you'll most likely find me at my favorite place—our cabin—or spending time making memories with my grandchildren. Building lasting relationships with our clients and watching their families grow over the years is one of my favorite parts of what we do.
